Job Description

Jubilee Centre is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Nurse Practitioner and Supervisor to join our leadership team.

Reporting to the Clinical Director and working closely with physicians, psychiatrists, community partners, and internal leadership, the successful candidate will provide direct supervision to front-line nursing staff while helping to plan, implement, and enhance integrated addiction, mental health, withdrawal management, and primary care services.

This position plays a key role in expanding access to specialized care while supporting quality improvement, innovation, and clinical excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the nursing team
Deliver primary care and addiction and mental health services within a multidisciplinary environment
Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, and community partners to coordinate client care
Support the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services
Mentor, coach, and evaluate nursing staff
Contribute to policy development and quality improvement initiatives
Support integrated treatment approaches involving addiction, mental health, withdrawal management, and recovery services
Participate in on-call duties as required
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and utilize electronic health record systems
Promote equitable, culturally safe, and client-centered care practices

Qualifications

Education & Registration

Registered Nurse in the Extended Class (RN-EC) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, or eligible candidate awaiting licensure
Registration in good standing with a Canadian nursing regulatory body in the Extended Class may also be considered

Experience

Minimum two years of experience in primary care and/or addiction and mental health services preferred
Experience supervising, mentoring, and evaluating front-line staff
Experience in program planning, policy development, and evaluation considered an asset
Experience working with diverse, marginalized, and underserved populations

Skills & Competencies

Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
Proficiency with electronic health records, Microsoft Office, and virtual care technologies
Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive sense of humour

Additional Assets

CNA certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
Training or certification in OAT/ORT prescribing and anti-craving therapies
Experience with OTN and virtual healthcare delivery
Bilingualism (English/French)
Indigenous cultural competency and knowledge of traditional healing approaches
Knowledge of Cree, Ojibway, or Oji-Cree languages
Lived experience with recovery and mental health challenges

Requirements

Current professional liability protection
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
Successful Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Ability to participate in rotating on-call responsibilities

Preference May Be Given To

Indigenous, First Nation, or Métis applicants
Applicants fluent in both English and French
Applicants with knowledge of Indigenous languages and healing practices
Applicants with lived experience and sustained recovery experience

Salary & Benefits

Salary

$115,300 – $125,000 annually

Hours of Work

40 hours per week, including a one-hour paid meal period.
